Helix Kapital launches Circular Alliance – an initiative covering its portfolio companies Recycling Partner RP AB (“RP”), Rekomo AB (“Rekomo”) and Itonomy AB (“Itreon”). The initiative strengthens the companies' leading position in the Nordic market for circular workplace, while each company continues to operate independently, spanning circular office furniture and circular IT hardware – a platform that extends the life cycle of workplace inventory, reduces the climate footprint of Nordic workplaces, and makes circular solutions easier to choose for both the private and public sectors.
The group offers a comprehensive service portfolio spanning purchase, sale, rental, refurbishment and reuse of office furniture, as well as financing, asset recovery, data erasure and remarketing of IT hardware — covering end-to-end IT lifecycle management.
“Circular Alliance is an excellent example of how we at Helix build leading Nordic platforms in industries where commercial value and societal value pull in the same direction. The circular economy is one of the strongest structural trends in the Nordics, and we see significant opportunities for the group to grow substantially – both organically and through acquisitions – while every step of growth means a reduced climate footprint for customers,” says Joakim Karlsson, Partner at Helix Kapital.
Through the formation of Circular Alliance, a group is created with both the breadth and the strength to meet the rapidly growing demand for circular workplace solutions from corporates and the public sector. The platform contributes directly to Nordic climate targets by giving more workplace inventory a second life instead of becoming waste – every reused workplace saves both resources and emissions compared to new production. For customers, this means access to a broader range of circular services across the full lifecycle of office interiors and IT – delivered through each company's own channels.
“Circular Alliance is an exciting initiative that brings together three of the Nordics' strongest players in the circular economy – RP, Rekomo and Itreon. Each of the companies is already a leader in its field, and together they offer a uniquely broad range of circular solutions for office interiors and IT. There is a strong sense of optimism across the initiative and a shared ambition to continue setting the standard for circular economy in the Nordics,” says Per-Arne Andersson, Chairman of Circular Alliance.
RP was founded in 2004 and has, through its circular business model, established itself as a leading player in refurbished office furniture and circular workplace solutions. The company operates through several subsidiaries across Sweden with a total of approximately 95 employees.
Rekomo is Sweden's largest player in refurbished office furniture with more than 30 years of experience. The company buys, sells and rents used office furniture to companies across the Nordics and has around 60 employees across offices in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö and Norrköping.
Itreon offers end-to-end IT lifecycle management covering financing, asset recovery, data erasure and remarketing of IT hardware. The company manages the full life cycle of corporate IT hardware and operates in Sweden, Norway and the Benelux region.
