Sensebit acquires Visy Oy
Helix Kapital's portfolio company Sensebit acquires Visy Oy, a market-leading provider of software for image analysis and automation in transport and logistics infrastructure. Visy's systems are currently used by transport, port and terminal operators in 25 countries. As part of the Sensebit Group, Visy further strengthens its technology platform and, together with Sensebit, can offer customers in the road sector complete solutions for statistics and intelligent transport systems (ITS). The management of Visy is reinvesting in the joint group, with Helix Kapital remaining the majority shareholder and NEA Partners entering as a minority shareholder.
Sensebit, together with its subsidiary Trafikia, is the Nordic market leader in traffic data collection and analysis. The company offers system integration services with its proprietary hardware and software solutions. It serves public sector customers including national road authorities, municipalities, as well as private customers in the Nordic region, Germany, and a dozen other export markets. The company has 30 employees with offices in Stockholm (head office), Gothenburg, Uppsala, Luleå, Härnösand, Jönköping and Cologne, Germany.
Visy, founded in 1994, is a leading global supplier of software for image recognition and automation in the transportation infrastructure market. Visy’s customers include industrial companies, ports, and terminal operators as well as border control authorities in 25 countries. The company has 30 employees and is headquartered in Tampere, Finland.
